Residents' meeting with Manx Care cancelled
A campaigner who wants to save a residential home in Ramsey says she wants confirmation that the home is still operating at full capacity.
Vicki Hewison says residents, and their families, deserve clarity over plans for Cummal Mooar in future.
Earlier this week Manx Care cancelled a planned meeting, scheduled for later this month, saying it needs more time to answer their questions ‘with a degree of confidence’.
It was supposed to take place on 23 August.
In a letter sent to those affected the health body says current arrangements will continue 'in the meantime' and there will be 'no change to the running of Cummal Mooar during this period of further discussion'.
Manx Care had claimed the facility would close before a replacement was built – something the Department of Health and Social Care later disputed.
