Public counter will open in Central Government Offices on 15 December
The Customs and Excise office is to relocate from Custom House on North Quay later this month.
On Monday 15 December it will open on the ground floor of Central Government Offices on Bucks Road at 10am.
The public counter will close at the previous location at 2pm on Friday 12 December.
Since the merger of Customs and Excise services with Passport, Immigration and Nationality services in January 2024, the Customs and Immigration Division has operated from two separate buildings.
Services for passports, immigration, nationality, customs and excise duties and VAT will be available during normal opening hours of 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.
Government says bringing key services under one roof will 'make it easier for customers to access support while maintaining service standards'.
Business customers 'will also benefit by visiting a single location for both direct taxes such as Income Tax and indirect taxes such as VAT'.
Phone, email and online services will remain unaffected during this period.
