Antiques Roadshow expert shares views on railway review
An antiques and railway expert says making cuts to the Island's heritage railways would be 'complete lunacy'.
Paul Atterbury, who's known for his appearances on Antiques Roadshow, has been visiting the Island this week for the Manx Heritage Transport Festival.
Consultants Systra are currently carrying out an economic assessment of the Island's railways offering.
Government says feedback to the review will be used to determine the future of the railways, but no decisions have yet been made.
Responses can be submitted to the review until 13 August.
Mr Atterbury insists heritage transport brings in more than just passenger numbers:
Manx Radio has invited the Department of Infrastructure to respond to Mr Atterbury's comments.
