Call for Manx data to stay on Island
Cyber security threats could be prevented by an Isle of Man internet exchange network.
That's the message from director of Manx Technology Group Joe Hughes - the man driving it - he says Manx data should stay on Island.
It currently joins 90 per cent of all UK data that travels through the London Internet Exchange before returning to its source.
Discussions have taken place with government, ISPs and data centres to form the self-governing, self-funded not-for-profit organisation to solve the problem.
Mr Hughes explains why it needs to be addressed.
