The Grove Museum in Ramsey is closing early this summer season in order for roof repairs.
Over the last few years, water has been getting inside the building causing serious damp patches and putting the most vulnerable items in the house in danger of damage.
But, Manx National Heritage is closing the Grove’s season with a bang – and for the first time will be hosting an art exhibition within the house and its outbuildings.
Starting on August 24, local artist Peter Davies will be exhibiting his Victorian inspired work in show titled ‘Dark Thoughts – A Journey through the Victorian Imagination.
Community Engagement Officer Katie King says she hopes it will give the Grove a sympathetic boost ahead of the early closing
