Data Protection Office launches investigation
A data breach by the Income Tax Division has prompted complaints from around the world being sent to the Island's Data Protection Office.
The office says it's because the private email addresses which were accidentally sent out were of former Island residents and taxpayers as well as current ones.
The ITD has apologised for what is has called a 'lapse' by a member of staff, claims no sensitive data was circulated and says an investigation has been launched.
