Public health director says serious illness is reduced
Data is improving on how well the Covid-19 vaccine protects people against the Indian variant of the virus.
The Island's director of public health says the information being collected is developing all the time.
The highly transmissible strain of coronavirus, now known as 'Delta' by the World Health Organisation, continues to spread in the UK.
Dr Henrietta Ewart says while efficacy of the vaccine may be less after one dose the risk of serious illness is still reduced:
