Reayrt ny Baie no longer fit for purpose
A Douglas care home described as no longer fit for purpose is still safe to house residents while its replacement is built.
That's according to Health Minister David Ashford ahead of a Tynwald vote on funding for Summerhill View, which will take over from Reayrt ny Baie.
There are currently around 35 residents at the home, which no longer meets modern standards for lift space or bedroom size.
With construction of Summerhill View expected to take around two years, Mr Ashford says those living in the existing home aren't at risk:
