New Cabinet Office Minister previously resigned from CoMin due to 'political accountability'
The cabinet office minister insists he is fit to hold the position despite resigning from the Council of Ministers earlier in the current administration.
David Ashford stood down from his role as treasury minister in May 2022 after a tribunal found the Island's former medical director was unfairly dismissed during the Douglas North MHK's time as health minister.
Mr Ashford rejoined the Council of Ministers last week as part of a reshuffle by Chief Minister Alfred Cannan.
Minister Ashford told Manx Radio he was cleared of wrongdoing in the Ranson tribunal, but felt resigning was the right thing to do:
