Four candidates went for one of three vacancies
The results are officially in from Douglas South in the 2025 Local Authority general election.
Four candidates were vying for one of three seats to make up a council of 12 people – all other wards were uncontested.
On the night, former MHK David Cretney topped the poll with a runaway total of 1,096.
Steven Crellin and Karel Ver Elst were also elected.
In total, 1,230 people headed to the polls, with 4 ballots rejected.
That equates to 25.4 percent of eligible voters.
A big issue for many in the area during this election campaign was bin collections - following a reduction in recent years from weekly to fortnightly.

- Steven Crellin - 590
- David Cretney - 1096
- Karel Ver Elst – 335
