Frank Schuengel paused his road trip to witness the events of the next few days
A Douglas councillor has described the atmosphere in Edinburgh as 'one of saddness'.
Frank Schuengel, and his family, are in the Scottish capital as part of a road trip around Scotland.
But following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Our Lord of Mann, they have decided to stay in Edinburgh for a few more days.
The Queen's coffin arrived in Edinburgh yesterday where it is lying at rest in the Throne Room at the Palace of Holyroodhouse
Mr Schuengel told Manx Radio hundreds of people, both local and from overseas, have made their way to pay their respects:
