Ballot will take place if there are two or more standing
Aspiring candidates in the upcoming Onchan Commissioners by-election have until the end of office hours today to put their name forward.
Nomination papers can be collected from the Commissioners' Offices on Main Road in the village.
Completed forms must be returned by 17:00 this evening.
If there are two or more candidates standing, a an election will then take place on Thursday, 22 October to determine who will serve the constituency until 1 May 2021.
The seat on the board has was vacated by James Cherry in October last year.
A by-election wasn't initially called as Mr Cherry's resignation occurred within the six-month window before the next local authority general election, which was due to take place in April.
However, that was pushed back because of the Covid-19 pandemic and advice from central government has since instructed vacant seats be filled.
