Poets and short story writers called upon for Manx LitFest contest
The Island's budding poets and short story writers have until midnight tonight (12 Aug) to submit their entries to the relaunched Olive Lamming Writing Prize.
The competition started in 1970, named after an active member of the Isle of Man Literary Society - it was also previously run by the Department of Education.
After a brief hiatus, Manx LitFest has brought the contest back to life, with cash prizes on offer for the best entries.
Poets Usha Kishore and Janet Lees will judge the poetry competition, with authors Elizabeth Brooks and Rona Halsall judging the short story competition.
