32-year-old Frenchman Franck Petricola was making TT debut
A TT racer has died after an accident in Sulby last night.
Thirty-two-year-old Frenchman Franck Petricola crashed at about 7.45pm at Sulby crossroads, during the TT qualifying session.
He was was an experienced racer and was due to make his TT debut last year - he was forced to withdraw after an injury in the North West 200.
Petricola recently returned to full fitness and raced at Scarborough and the North West 200.
This was his first time racing at the TT.
