Cardiovascular disease and cancer rates concerning
Manx death rates from cardiovascular disease and cancer are higher than the UK.
That's according to the Island's director of Public Health.
Dr Henrietta Ewart says initial analysis of causes of death has revealed worrying information.
Her team are close to publishing a full collection of public health statistics, pending the completion of a lifestyle survey.
Speaking on Manx Radio's Women Today programme, Dr Ewart says we need to find out why the issues appear worse in the Island:
