MHK says some members weren't happy with timing of announcement
The changes needed to ensure public services remain sustainable for the future will be the subject of a general debate at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover tabled the motion following a presentation by the chief executive officer of government at the Isle of Man Government Conference earlier this year.
Andy Ralphs outlined plans to find savings and efficiencies within public services ahead of next year's Budget.
Mr Glover says not all members were happy with the way the proposals were announced, which is why he's calling for the debate:
