Flights left to circle as runway swept
It's understood concerns over debris on the runway led to delays at Ronaldsway Airport this evening.
Planes arriving from Gatwick, Glasgow and Bristol were seen circling shortly before 8pm.
A source at Ronaldsway told Manx Radio it was after a British Airways flight bound for London City was aborted during take-off - prompting fears a component had become dislodged from the aircraft.
A thorough sweep of the runway by airport fire crews ensued, where nothing was found.
Operations were resumed at around quarter past eight, and no further flights suffered significant disruption.
