There has been local reaction to the GCSE grade boundaries controversy, from the Department of Education and Children.
Glenys Stacey, the boss of exams regulator Ofqual, has been urged to quit, but has today told the Commons Education Committee GCSE English papers were properly graded.
Ofqual told two exam boards their grades were too generous.
Leaked letters to the Times Educational Supplement show the regulator ordered the exam board Edexcel to change grade boundaries two weeks before results were published.
The DEC's co-ordinating advisor for eleven to ninteen-year-olds Paul Craine fears that Manx pupils' English and maths results may have been affected by the changes:
