Figures up compared to 2016
The number of arrests for drink driving in December 2017 was double the figure from the same period the previous year.
Fourteen arrests were made by police in relation to drink driving last month, compared to seven in December 2016.
Of those, nine have been charged, two have been granted bail and no further action will be taken in the remaining three cases.
