Commissioners want more information on town centre plan
Ramsey Town Commissioners have deferred a decision on a 20mph zone through the town's centre until more information can be gathered.
In the December meeting the commission, which proposed the change, discussed new proposals put forward by the Department of Infrastructure.
It was noted that the new designs extended the proposed speed limit to West Quay - a move which the department said would 'result in a much less visually intrusive level of street signage'.
The proposal also included a tabled pedestrian crossing point at Parliament Square, which would replace the existing crossing, and at the junction of Christian Street and Parliament Street.
