Put figures almost equal with this time last year
There was a slight decrease in unemployment on the Island last month, but the number of people looking for work is almost level with this time last year.
The total out of work in March fell by 14 compared to February.
However, the number of people registered unemployed, 292, is one above the total from March 2023.
The sectors with the highest number of unemployed persons were; catering and entertainment, other business services, miscellaneous services and retail.
Meanwhile, catering and entertainment also appears alongside the sectors with the highest number of vacancies - at 102.
That's surpassed by the number in retail, with 120 vacancies, and medical and health services - in which there are 157 jobs up for grabs.
The unemployment rate for March 2024, the proportion of economically active population registered unemployed, is 0.7 per cent, remaining the same as February.
