Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne has said he will walk away from politics if he has to compromise his morality or conviction.
His tweet refers to alleged threats he has received from a Member of the Legislative Council, in relation to Mr Gawne's attempts to have LegCo abolished.
Mr Gawne briefly alluded to the threats at the end of an interview with Manx Radio last week, ahead of the vote in the House of Keys: (play audio)
His motion failed, but Mr Gawne has said it looks like the MLC who said they would make his life a misery is carrying out their threat.
He refers in a subsequent tweet to a lot of strange and/or anonymous anti-DEFA activity, describing it as pathetic.
Mr Gawne is due to speak to Manx Radio about the threats later today.
