SALSA certification provides launch pad into new markets
Food and drink producers here are being offered free training to meet leading UK retailers' safety and legal requirements.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture looks to help local businesses gain 'Safe and Local Supplier Approval' (SALSA) certification.
Food chain associations started the venture several years ago - it includes members like; the National Farmers' Union and the Food and Drink Federation.
DEFA says it will help Manx producers to learn about and apply for it.
