An ambitious plan to slash the Island's carbon emissions has been put on hold by the department of environment, food and agriculture.
The goal to cut emissions by 80 per cent by 2050, was set to be debated in Tynwald today.
DEFA's hoping a focus on efficient infrastructure, and a greater reliance on clean energy, will help to lower annual greenhouse gas emissions by 8 tonnes per person.
However it's now confirmed it will be delaying the motion by a month pending further discussions on its content.
