The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is set to trial a new planning system which it hopes will speed up the process of determining major and more complex applications.
The programme’s part of government’s Built Environment Reform Programme - unveiled in July, and the Island Plan - which looks to grow communities and enhance the built environment.
Other measures will see a customer charter published to set a base line standard and a survey to gather views from the public on current services.
