A delegation of twenty-eight head teachers is visiting the Island.
The heads from North West England and Wales will meet Education Minister Tim Crookall and visit primary and secondary schools including the Manx school Bunscoill Ghaelgagh in St Johns and the Education Support Centre.
They will also have a chance to see the Island’s "Essentials for Learning" curriculum being applied across age ranges and subjects.
The heads’ trip has been organised by the National Union of Teachers and came about as a result of a visit by Beth Davies, NUT president, and Simon Jones, NUT National Executive Member, in February.
Mr Jones, who is leading the return visit, has praised the Manx system claiming "it's the envy of colleagues in the UK."
The Heads will be on the Island from today (Sun 29th) to Tuesday.
