UK report last week highlights serious failings in care
Calls to address interest in dementia training by field professionals have been sounding for some time - so why hasn't it been provided yet?
That's the question left unanswered after an interview with Alzheimer's Society Isle of Man - which says a more pro-active approach is needed by gathering and analysing wider-ranging data on the level of care here.
The UK arm of the charity released a report last week, it found serious failings in care - including people left in dirty clothes for days, going without food and water.
1,300 people have the disorder here according to the 2011 census - that figure is expected to rise when this year's interim census is released.
