Wooden mast and weather vane in 'unsafe condition'
The mast at the centre of Derby Square in Douglas has been removed.
Douglas Borough Council say the structure, which matched the surrounding trees in height with weather vane on top, needed to be felled due to its unsafe condition.
The park was closed for a short period this morning.
It's not currently known whether a replacement mast will be put in place.
