Order of ceremonies to include Chronicles of Man discussion
The order of ceremonies for the 2019 national Illiam Dhone commemoration has been released.
Taking place on Wednesday 2 January at 2pm, Bernard Moffatt will introduce the speakers, with the Manx oration being given this year by Chairman of Mec Vannin Mark Kermode, followed by an English oration from Bill Henderson MLC.
It's thought Mr Henderson will be talking about the Chronicles of Man and the Isles.
Finally, there will be a wreath laying and a rendition of the National Anthem.
Those attending then have the option of a church service at Malew Church, or a more informal get together with Manx music at the Compton Vaults on Parliament Square in Castletown.
