Strategy aimed at population increase
Government is to unveil its latest plans aimed at reversing a shortage of skilled workers next month.
The Department for Enterprise's 'Locate' strategy will outline plans to grow the workforce, with a focus on negotiating immigration challenges posed by Brexit.
Speaking at a gathering of business people in Douglas, the department's Deputy Chief Executive, Carl Hawker, said the Manx economy was in a 'strong position' to deal with potential shocks.
He wants industry to continue to look to European and international markets:
