DHSC 'a long way' from accurately determining service costs

Health Transformation team questioned by Tynwald's Public Accounts Committee

The Department of Health and Social Care is unable to determine accurate costing figures for the delivery of services.

Part of Sir Jonathan Michael's recommendations set out the need for a complete health transformation.

It saw the creation of Manx Care which is now responsible for service delivery.

'Activity-based costing' is a method of understand costs of products or services based on the activities they use.
