Chief executive admits confidence in department has been affected
The Department of Health and Social Care 'absolutely' has to recognise the impact a public employment tribunal has had both internally and externally.
That's the message from the new chief executive.
The department is waiting for a judgement to be delivered in the case brought against it by former medical director Dr Rosalind Ranson.
A Freedom of Information request shows that the department's legal fees have already come to more than £37,000.
Karen Malone, who herself gave evidence at the tribunal, says the DHSC will have to learn from the proceedings:
