Chief responds to Lakeman boys' father
Health and Social Care bosses are considering the options when it comes to educating users on 'safe' illegal drug use.
DHSC Chief Executive Malcolm Couch insists work is underway by advisors across government to develop a new national drugs and alcohol strategy.
He was responding to a plea from the father of Jacques and Torin Lakeman - the Island youngsters died two years ago last week after purchasing substances from the dark web.
Ray Lakeman has been campaigning since to provide a safer environment for users and cut 'preventable' deaths.
He argues it's time to legalise and regulate drug use.
