Next step of Dr Ranson case delayed until October
This morning's directions hearing in the case of the Island's former medical director vs the Department of Health and Social Care has been vacated.
The meeting was to determine whether or not Anna Heeley from the Attorney General's Chambers could be asked about the disclosure of documents during Dr Rosalind Ranson's employment tribunal.
The department's legal team says this would force Miss Heeley to break legal privilege.
However it has been determined that as directions had already been agreed between the parties there was no reason to come to court.
The DHSC was found to have unfairly dismissed Dr Rosalind Ranson after she raised concerns about its approach to managing Covid-19 on the Island.
A hearing of the appeal will take place on 6 October.
