Too much investment needed
A director of a Peel care home, which is set to shut for good in July, says it was not viable to make urgent upgrades to the facility.
It was announced last week that Corrin Memorial Home is closing meaning 21 residents will need to be relocated.
Significant investment was required to keep the care home in line with government regulations.
Alan Jones says it would have cost too much to alter the building:
£5.3m on compromise agreements and £2.86m on mileage
