Teacher welcomes discussion about free condoms and sanitary products
There's praise for the Education Minister's progressive attitude towards things like free condoms in schools for those over the age of consent.
Dr Alex Allinson was asked about the issue in a Manx Radio interview, after a sixth former started a petition calling for such provision.
He said he had already looked into the cost of vending machines which might give out not only condoms, but also things like sanitary protection.
Dr Allinson also stressed that free condoms would have to be part of a wider sexual health education programme.
