Public fail to support MHK of a decade
Former Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper says he’ll go back to the private sector after failing to seek re-election.
The Liberal Vannin Party leader didn’t secure enough votes to take one of the two seats available in the constituency.
Instead the poll was topped by Juan McGuinness, with 1703 votes, with Robert Cowell picking up 1395 votes.
