30-year-old will be sentenced in August
A Ramsey man who drove to Noble's Hospital despite being drunk and disqualified from driving will be sentenced next month.
Jason Liam Christian, of Bircham Avenue Close, took an SCS van – without the owner’s consent – to make the journey in the early hours of 11 July.
Staff at the Emergency Department called police after the 30-year-old arrived claiming he needed medical attention; he was intoxicated but they’d seen him driving the vehicle.
At Douglas Courthouse Christian admitted the offences as well as having no insurance.
The court heard he’s banned from the road until at least 2027 and is currently on probation.
A social enquiry report has been requested before he’s sentenced on 31 August; he’s been bailed until that date.
