Divers to assess cracked Peel outfall pipe today
A specialist diving team is today (Monday) due to inspect damage to the Peel Bay sewage outfall pipe.
A crack in a chamber hatch was discovered last week, reducing the quality of bathing water and leaving a question mark over beach safety.
The MUA reduced the volume of sewage being pumped out into the bay during daytime - and today, DoI divers will carry out a full assessment of the damage.
