A forensic scientist has given DNA evidence at the murder trial of a Castletown man this afternoon.
Forty-six-year-old Ian Anderson pleads not guilty to the murder of 60-year-old Neil Roberts from Ballabeg.
Mr Roberts's body was found by police at Mr Anderson's home in Queen Street, Castletown in late 2013.
Linda Watts for the prosecution read a statement by forensic scientist Sonia Marshall.
She told the court identified DNA from blood spots on walls, floors and even the ceiling of the Castletown house.
She explained that the blood splattered in the living room, where the body was found, was a match for Neil Roberts.
Jurors were told Ian Anderson's shirt sleeves sleeves were heavily soaked in Neil Roberts's blood.
Tests also concluded Mr Anderson punched and kicked Neil Roberts at least three times.
The trial continues at Douglas Courthouse on Monday morning at 10 o'clock.
