62-year-old fined £600
A doctor at Noble's Hospital has admitted driving without due care and consideration on the Mountain Road.
Sixty-two-year-old Henry Mutasa, of Grove Mount West in Ramsey, appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
He also pleaded guilty to not having a valid licence on 20 October last year – a charge of dangerous driving was withdrawn.
The court heard a member of the public went to Ramsey Police Station with dashcam footage of a Dacia Sandero which had travelled North from Douglas over the Mountain Road.
The video showed the car repeatedly straying over the centre white lines and veering back when oncoming vehicles approached.
Police traced the number plate to Mutasa but when they interviewed him about his driving they discovered he still had a UK licence despite moving to the Island four years ago.
He was fined £600 and ordered to pay £50 towards prosecution costs – Mrs Hughes also imposed six penalty points on his driving licence after hearing he'd now changed it over.
