5G researcher claims the technology shouldn't be forced on people
A doctor who campaigns against the expansion of 5G mobile internet believes the public should have the right not to consent to the technology.
Dr Erica Mallery-Blythe spoke to a crowd of around 150 at an event in Douglas organised by 5G Aware Isle of Man and the Positive Action Group.
Among those not attending were the Health Minister, Director of Public Health and representatives from Manx Telecom and Sure, all of whom declined invitations to take part.
Dr Mallery-Blythe doesn't think 5G should be forced on people:
In a statement released to Manx Radio, Sure said: "Sure is committed to safety and our current and future mobile network will continue to meet the safety standards set by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiations, we well as complying with local regulations."
