New book makes case for Island being under Scottish rule
Could the Isle of Man belong to Scotland?
It's a theory put forward by Dr Alison Cathcart whose findings are being published in a new book called Scotland and the Wider World.
She claims there's a case for the Island being under Scottish rule during the reign of James the sixth who also became the English king James the first.
Dr Cathcart's research included weeks of looking through Manx National Heritage archives:
