Coastguard called out to Garwick Beach
Douglas Coastguard was called out to rescue a dog that had drifted out to sea yesterday, but was unable to find it.
The spaniel was being exercised on Garwick Beach when it was washed out.
Lifeboat teams say unfortunately by the time they made it to the scene the dog couldn't be located.
Despite this, the crews say there is every chance it managed to make its way to shore by itself.
With that in mind, anyone who sees a black and white spaniel in the area, that appears lost and alone, should contact the Marine Operations Centre.
