Promenade shut as Island gears up for TT
The Department of Infrastructure says part of Douglas Promenade’s walkway will be closed at the end of the month as the Island gears up for TT.
The traditional promenade funfair will arrive at the start of practice week on Monday, May 30 and the walkway will be shut between Broadway and the Bottleneck Car Park from midnight on Monday until midnight on Tuesday as it sets up.
That part of the prom will also close each day from midnight until 10am between Thursday, June 2 and Sunday, June 12 to allow cleaning to take place.
And it’ll also close from 10am on June 12 until 6pm on June 14 as the funfair packs up.
