Erroneous advertisement published in newspaper
An erroneous road closure notice for this weekend's Bikestyle End2End Mountain Bike Challenge has been corrected.
The Department of Infrastructure published the notice in the Isle of Man Courier.
Hundreds of competitors are set to compete in the End2End this weekend, but there's been some confusion over when the roads will actually close.
Routes around the 75km course are shutting on Sunday, 9 September, but the Courier published a notice for road closures the following day on 10 September instead.
The date has now been corrected and the DoI has released a statement.
It says 'by the time the error was noticed the deadline for amendments had passed and the advertisement was printed.'
The department stresses 'all other documentation relating to the road closure authorisation carries the correct date of Sunday, 9 September.'
