Budget is not available for widespread change
A member of the Department of Infrastructure has responded to claims that government is failing to address concerns regarding disabled access across the Island.
As we previously reported, wheelchair user Paul Sullivan presented a notebook filled with specific issues he'd collected over two decades to politicians three years ago, including a lack of drop kerbs at bus stops.
He says not one of these issues has been solved since his meeting in May 2019.
In response, Kerry Sharpe MLC said the department is well aware of the issues and explained the work the department has been doing to tackle them:
Child benefit payments delayed due to technical issue
Manx Care says it is 'doing a lot of work' to tackle concerns raised by doctors
New elective surgical unit will be 'nice controlled environment'
Manx dancer, teacher and festival organiser 'in awe' at RBV win
MNFU calls for ability to trade with UK to be made a priority
