Minister says highway being monitored following landslip
The Department of Infrastructure is keeping a 'watching brief' over the current state of Old Laxey Hill from a highways perspective.
That's according to the Infrastructure Minister following a landslip in the area on the weekend of 18-19 March which resulted in two properties in the area being evacuated.
Chris Thomas says whilst the road itself is part of his department's remit, any potential issues for properties may require owners to seek their own legal and insurance advice.
He was asked if he's considered introducing a weight limit for vehicles on the highway and changing the flow of traffic there:
