The Department of Infrastructure has decided to merge its harbours and airport divisions.
The move has come following the retirement of Director of Harbours Captain Michael Brew.
The current airport director, Ann Reynolds, will become the director of the new Ports Division as of tomorrow, on an interim basis initially.
Infrastructure Minister David Cretney says bringing the two divisions together is a move which fits well with the ongoing work to make government more efficient.
