Coal tar and land transfer holding up construction
It's hoped the construction of a roundabout that would enable the use of the Ballasalla bypass will be completed in the next 18 months.
Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall says work is ongoing to secure the transfer of a piece of land from Malew Commissioners to his department, while further funding is required for the project due to the presence of coal tar.
An adviser will need to be appointed to find a solution to the coal tar issue before a contractor can be appointed.
Mr Crookall told the House of Keys he can't give a definitive date, but the current target is April 2026 once these two areas have been resolved:
